Docker hosting in London
Docker Engine and Compose for running containers. It installs from the Apps tab of your ZaRHost server in one click, on a Linux server in London with its own IP address and SSH key.
What it is good for
- Run containers and Compose stacks on your own server
- Keep an app and everything it needs together
- Move the same set-up between machines
What you need
- At least 1 GB of memory, so the Nano size or larger (£2 a month for Nano).
- Any of the four Linux systems: Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux.
Questions
Does Docker install with Compose?
Yes. The Docker app installs the engine and the Compose plugin together.
How do I install Docker?
Open your server in the panel, go to the Apps tab and press Install next to Docker. You can also choose it when you create the server.
How much memory does Docker need?
At least 1 GB. The Nano size has 1 GB and costs £2 a month.
